If were all seriously galzanised enough against telkom, we could try fighting back by reporting every single add they put out (TV, Radio, Newspapers) to the ASA, Public Protector, and the public at large (not that I think it would make any difference with lame-ness of both ASA & PeePee).

Create enough resistance to Telkom that they withdraw the case, but it might be better to get a ruling if it's in MaD's favour.

Perhaps MaD needs to tell us how we can help (money obviously but what else[?]).

I still don't get the 5 mil. Surely if it's really bad for Teklom's image then they have to sue for at least 3 years of profit loss - i.e. 100 billion rand. I mean - the poor monopoly has been really hurt by Hellkom - just look at their falling profits.

Teklom won't sue Hellkom for posting lies or half truths or something that actually means something, because they would be horribly exposed to the truths. Instead, they badger on about a stupid voiceless picture.

If BMW's logo was presented in a satirical manner, I recon they would try to sort out the cause of the unhappiness, not run around shouting about a couple of quite funny pictures, because a company like BMW actually has to rely on SERVICE, not extortion.

They'll do the same thing Telkom has done; bring out the lawyers. The difference is, because there isn't a pack of Telkom-hating sheeple running around, everyone will be laughing at you instead of offering you emotional / financial / legal support.

mith, i doubt very much that most of the myadsl members hate telkom. I hate the fact that i have to pay far too much for telecommunications. i hate the fact that i'm not given a good service by my telecommunications provider. i hate the fact that i can't change my telecommunications provider because its too expensive and gives me bad service.
In a nutshell, those are the things i hate.
