Telkom roaming on MTN???

Does Telkom still have the deal with MTN, where Telkom users can roam on MTN for free?
Can't seem to do that anymore. When I try to do it manually, it shows MTN as "(Forbidden)".

No problems here. There is is odd day every 3-6 months where I do struggle but as of this post I am force-roaming my device on MTN.

Best is to switch your phone to 2G, search networks and then select MTN. Thereafter switch back to 3G/2G; I find that if I put on LTE Preferred, it tries to go onto MTN's 4G and I lose signal intermittently.

Also had the same issue with the phone not going onto MTN automatically.
Figured out you can select MTN manually, even if it says "forbidden".
Just irritating that I had to do this manually.

I assume meant in that your normal telkom (data?) rates apply when roaming on mtn.
What about these packages that offer x amount of GB on the telkom network but only 500mb (for example) when roaming (like some of the deal of the month packages)?

Or am I missing something? This has always confused me.

MTN data is used if you have Telkom All Networks Data and is roaming on MTN network..

Telkom Mobile Data.. only works on Telkom...
