Telkom Router Warranty

Hi,

Just want to find out what is the warranty period on a router that was given through a contract, my B525 just gave in yesterday its not powering on at all, i took it to a telkom store and they said its out of warranty as i got it in Oct 2018? does the warranty not last with the contract since i got the LTE Uncapped in Oct 2018 aswell.

Telkom routers have a 12 month guarantee in my knowledge and it doesn't cover lightning or things like power failure damage or load shedding,so you're literally one month late.
