Telkom Self-Install

Having not been in South Africa for 5 years, things have changed quite a bit. I recently moved to Cape Town from Sydney. I'm living with a friend who already has an active telkom home line (checked the number on telkomchecker, and he can get up to 10MB).

My question is, since the line is already there an active, and I simply order the ADSL service from telkom online, and do the self-install, which I know how do to. How long does it take from when I complete the online order for telkom to activate the ADSL?

Well a technician still has to do some jumpering at the exchange side that is assuming there are ports available. If all is well probably somewhere within a week.
