Telkom Service Cancellations

Hi All

Has anyone found a reliable solution to cancel a Telkom ADSL service. I have been trying to cancel the service for sometime now. I have called 10210, 10213 and sent cancellation form to [email protected] without success.

I have read several threads on this forum on this issue. it seems to be a mammoth task.
 
It's been 9 months we've been trying for a business line for our old office.

We went countless times to the branch, sent the form and tried every possible communication channel and just gave up.

The account is still running and arrears accumulating, each time we get a call to settle it, we show the proof of cancellation sent by us and they calm down for two months in average.

:mad:My experience is a little different in that I am moving to a new location on the same area code where there is an active line. I went into the Telkom shop at Walmer Park in PE and cancelled it on Tuesday 11 April. At the same time time I applied to transfer my current number and ADSL package to the new location. All sorted as the consultant assure me that is was entered on the NEW system and gave me a reference number. I had failed to do this online as the Telkom link was broken. Not to worry, i dialed 10120 and pressed the appropriate 1,2,3 only to find that the "consultant" was not authorized to do it and transferred me to the correct person. No prize for guessing what happened, dropped call. Tried again with the appropriate time taken to answer and got a different person. Despite the background noise she took my details and said she was sending an email to her supervisor. No reference given after I asked. Checked the system later with TelkomZA and on Facebook. NOTHING ON THEIR SYSTEM.
WTF is happening to our ONLY telephone company?
I re post with whatever the result will be.
 
I have been trying to cancel from 17 feb2017.
Tried email , fax and store.

The store in fourways crossing won't allow me to cancel.
The email and fax channels don't respond.
 
I cancelled on Monday, on Tuesday they rocked up to try and fix my line again...
 
Sent it. Waited a month. Nothing.

Printed email, receipt, and form. I'm going to a Telkom shop now and dropping it on a desk without saying anything passive-aggressively. :D

I waited 45 days for them to call me and go through the actual process of de-activating my account.

I tried same approach on Saturday at telkom fourways.

The lady told me that the counter will refuse to help me. I must go back to email or fax channel.
 
Got it cancelled effective the 1-month notice date (a week ago).

I think TelkomZA on Facebook actioned it within a day after giving the details of my email request.
 
Sent them like 14 emails regarding my cancellation, every time I follow up they say they dont have a cancellation form, nvm they replying to the email sent with cancellation,went on for a week, sent the form 5times,no luck.

One review on hellopeter, and boom get a reply in 30min, with cancellation ref everything.
 
I have also tried to cancel my account now for three months. No replies from accounts department and I have run up a R1000 bill again. IDoes anybody knows the right place where complaints can be lodged?
