Telkom Softcap and Facebook

I'm getting the xbox + softcap deal from Telkom and my misses asked how is the facebook surfing during softcap.
I can't seem to find any info for her
Anyone here that is on the Telkom capped lines that can tell me?

You are just limited by your ADSL line speed when using Telkom capped ADSL. After the capped data limit is reached the line will be soft capped but you should still be able to open and use social messaging apps.

It works, but it is quite painful. Get a 1GB top up account from another ISP in case, IMO.

Thanks, I've read that on the Telkom softcap, social media sites (FB and Twitter) won't use your allocated data while you are not capped yet. So the 5 gig should last a while (hopefully).

I'll see how it goes and just buy small top up amounts if needed.

Facebook will be fine. You tube will be a bit slow.

I was under the impression that Youtube is blocked during softcap?
In anycase, I think she just wants to make sure she can still grow her plants (or whatever other Facebook game)
