Hi,

I received the following unwanted spam from Telkom.

For the record, it was sent with the addresses of many others visible in the email headers.

As I honour the privacy of those more that Telkom obviously does, I will not publish those addresses.

Why all of a sudden marketing this when ADSL is available? Remarks such " Customers will not receive an over-utilised line" as makes me worried in view of the Telkom threats to pull ADSL.

Wow that's amazing, you mean they provide better raw internet access than their nearest competitor, who happens to be nobody!!

Its also great when your competitors in the ISP market like IS and the likes have to buy services from you to provide services like ADSL. So awesome if you control your competitors access to submarine cable bandwidth. If they have higher uptimes than you why not disconnect their international bandwidth and blame it on a cable error. Wonderful...Life is so much more fun when you are a monopoly!

"there are no bottlenecks on the SAIX backbone and no congestion on the national network"

yeah cos telkom is so expensive that the network is virtually empty.

Hope there will be lots of echoes echoing on the SAIX network after the SNO fixed us up with proper telephone lines. :p :D

If my network receives a lot of Telkom spam, then I will make sure that they'll receive their own spam back at triple the rate! :D
