Telkom Special VS FNB Adsl?

Howsit guys. Need some advice please. Telkom has a special for R169 pm for a 1mb line plus it includes 5 GB bandwidth.

I have an FNB account. So they give 3 Gb free data. Has anyone experience using the Fnb data? Does it work as fast as other Isp's? The telkom sounds like a good deal, but I don't like the 24 month contract. :rolleyes:

Fnb data is very good, and never sign a contract. Having the freedom to move to the next great special when it happens will get you more gigs and save cash in the long run.

You should consider going for the 1meg uncapped bundle deal from afrihost. R297 for the line rental and uncapped data will give you the pleasure of being able to download about 130 gigs quite easily.

Quick update. Went to telkom today. A standalone Adsl line is about R160 pm. Bundled with the 5gb data, it comes to R169 pm. So you paying R9 for 5GB data. Plus the consultant confirmed that it's not on 24 month contract. It can terminated at any time. If this is correct, it's actually a killer deal. :cool:
 
Just remember to keep jumping through the required hoops in order to qualify for the free FNB data. You won't get any data if you miss just one of the qualifying criteria.
