Is Telkom definitely upgrading the line speeds in June? Does this mean that, if I take an uncapped 384 subscription from an ISP at R199 now, I will be paying R199 for a 1Mbs uncapped subscription from next month?

Yip as Mr Hoxbig said no official statement but expect one very soon ;-)
Also it isn't clear if other iSPs (except Ti) will be doing it for free so expect them to charge more. This is based on what iSPs (except Ti) have done for upto 10MB users seperating it with 4MB packages.
If you want to see what happens, take a prepaid account for the next 2 months then make a decision and also remember your exchange has to be supported as not everyone will benefit from this sadly :/.
Mweb have already started upgrading their clients for free.
Good day
Just a quick question: I currently have a 384k DSL line. If I take your 384k Standard Uncapped – R129pm! special, what will happen once Telkom does the line speed upgrade rumoured to be happening during June? 384k will supposedly be upgraded to 1Mbs. If this actually happens, will Openweb upgrade me to 1Mbs uncapped, at R129 (as 384k will no longer exist), or will the subscription be increased to the cost of the 1Mbs Standard Uncapped offer?
Hi Trent
On the R129 account, you will not be upgraded to 1Mbps im afraid.
Kind Regards
