Telkom stupidity

So, I just had what I consider to be a very stupid conversation with Telkom. My line has been dead (i.e. no tone) since 24:00 last night. However, Telkom seems to be unable to give me even an estimate of when this will be fixed. Apparently they no longer work over weekends - this is interesting as they disconnected my line over the weekend. Are the call centre just lying and \ or is there any way for me to get service back before Monday)...

False. Just this morning a tech called me from outside the house to fix my fault. Only problem is the fault was logged Thuesday evening & cleared on Wednesday morning.

OP - didn't you get a reference number with you're fault log?

As for the weekend thing...Telkom staff is famous for working weekends to score excessive overtime so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a crack-down on this. Or they might just be telling you BS...also a distinct possibility with Telkom call center.

They do work on weekends. They reset my port today and I missed a call from them.

I have also seen their vans on Sundays out fixing stuff.
