I don’t know if anyone here can help me with a Telkom issue. If so, the order reference number is: 125169497
Or at least offer me advise or refer me to person that will actually be able to assist me...
My area is Broadacres, close to Fourways in JHB.
I cannot even begin to explain what a sad affair and lost case it is to deal with Telkom. The trouble started when we tried to apply for a landline on 24 July. The Telkom store said we had no infrastructure and yet my neighbours have ADSL.
I then phoned Telkom. The lady could not find my address on the system.
The Monday I went into the Telkom store again. After 30mins we managed to find my address all because the lady at the call center spelled my complex’s name wrong.
They then re-processed the order on 27 July and on 31 July our landline was installed.
But now, the order of 24 July (where they could not find my address) is still pending. My line is working. I can make calls and receive calls, but my ISP can’t activate the ADSL line because the order of 24 July is still pending and showing as incomplete.
I have spent more than 300minutes to Telkom’s call center where each incompetent person transfers you to the next incompetent person.
From sales to technical support to service to cancellations only to get cut off again and again without any answers.
All I want is that Telkom cancels and close off the pending/incomplete order of 24 July so that my ISP of choice can migrate and activate the ADSL line.
It has been a week since my line has been installed and I can’t get ADSL because of absolute horrifying incompetence and complete lack of care.
