Telkom Uncapped - Latency Issues

Hi All,

I'm on Telkom uncapped 4mbps (recently upgraded via the rollout from 2mbps).
My latency since re-joing wow in November has been outstanding when compared to the old days (typically 200-220ms).
However, since last week latency has spiked to anywhere between 300ms and 600ms - with regular disconnects and spikes which basically make the game unplayable. I noted a technical update from Blizzard around latency on Friday, but my issues existed prior and after so I saw no improvement once this was resolved.

I called the Telkom support line and it seems they are inundated with complaints around slow speeds and latency across the board, they say this seems to be as a result of the network ugrades but they couldn't confirm....

Anyone else have the same issues or further info on when this is going to be resolved?

I signed up for a free gig from Afrihost. Very fast and easy. I emailed them a copy of my drivers license at 7pm and they approved my account within 10 minutes.

Vwala. Telkom ping was at 900+ to international servers. Afrihost, around 360. It's not perfect, but I can now play Diablo 3 again just fine.

I'm willing to buy another gig for R29 if this one runs out and Telkom still hasn't sorted out their ping issues.
 
I connected late last night to test whether the issue was resolved and my ping was a solid 200ms and very stable - although reading the forums again today it seemed like some have issues and some not...
 
check if your line is actually capable of syncing at 4mb ,I'm about 8km away from the exchange and after the 4mb I had the same problem turns out I'm to far from the exchange and they forced it up to 4mb which gives issues since I've downgraded to 2mb its been stable
