Telkom upgrades to 4mbps, what does iBurst do?

I agree, to sign anything with Telkom is like signing away your birth right. That is the BIG thing that's keeping me from going with ADSL.

*I had ADSL for three years in the UK and absolutely loved it. Still got my Samsung ADSL modem, but scared to sign up with Telkom.

Two MAJOR problems with iBurst at the moment :

1. The service is degrading and iBurst choose to keep mum. There are some very clever iburst customers, why not ask them for advice & assistance?

2. Last night we had a storm in Centurion, and the iBurst tower was out of commission before the lightning even started! That REALLY pisses me off.

I'll wait until my iBurst contract expires in a few months then if ADSL is what it is supposed to be and iBurst are lagging behind I will go for ADSL even if it means sleeping with telkom since I already have 3 lines to my house.
The up side is I will still have my iBurst modem which means if they improve at a later stage I could always go back to them.

As far as I'm concerned it all depends on how iBurst responds to the competition, the ball is now in their court.
