Telkom usuage tracker question?

i just borrowing my friend telkom adsl account to use it last night(to finish his capped). It take about 1gb up and download. when I check the usuage yesterday and today. There are no usuage that I use(1gb) in telkom web usuage web page. i did even disconnect and connect a few time. In the usuage web page, it show the same. (show I didn't up and download)..

Is anyone know that usuage tracker web page updated everytime when i disconect and connect again?

TelkomInternet usage is not controlled anymore, they will allow you to go over your cap as long as you don't abuse it. So next time it happens just leave it downloading till midnight (end of the month) and don't worry about how much, just worry about how much more you can fit in till midnight .. :)

The usage is updated once a day .. after midnight

And it isn't always accurate. I did a big download yesterday which finished well before midnight and my mail this morning still has me at 0.00GB downloaded. And long may it stay like that.

On the other hand, without going completely bossies I managed to download 6GB on a 3GB account without getting capped last month.

I suppose the real question is how far can you go before they cut you off at the knees.

is it worth it to get the telkom adsl account? How do u download your files? download many time (+-100mb) or few gig once time? Is any different for telkoms caculate the capped?

I got hard capped on one account and soft capped on the other but, with the soft cap, I could do whatever I wanted at same speeds, the reason why I say soft cap (if there is such thing) is because I had in different days of the month a 165.165 ..... IP and that in Gauteng means capped account.

Like I said, I could download, use Skype and play games even tough I was capped (soft capped) ... the other account was 165.165.... (IP) permanently, on that one I could not even connect :p

s2000, yes, it is worth to get a telkom account as a second account.

The reason being, if you don't abuse it you can go over your cap at no extra cost.
