Telkom weak signal.

Can someone please help me.
I am on Telkom prepaid and i only have one bar signal strength and my calls either break up or cuts of completely so when i chose Telkom R i get a 3 bar signal strength.
The problem is for the last week or more when going to settings and then connections and i choose Telkom R it says registered on network but within minutes a message flashes on my phone screen stating refreshing SIM data and it reverts back to ordinary Telkom again.
Is this a SIM card problem and should i visit a Telkom store to get a new SIM or is there another way of sorting out this problem.

Hi try and use a different Telekom sim if the problem persist then it could be your device or the signal process of elimination is the best way moving forward
