Yo guys,

Telkom came and installed my Wimax about a week ago, it ran fine for a week, now the power over ethernet adapter that plugs in to the wall seems broken.

there are 3 lights normally for

WIRLESS
ETHERNET
POWER

Only power and Ethernet is on, I have tried to unplug, replug 100 times, still nothing. The Wifi led goes on for about 10sec and drops again.

Anyone else had similar problems? and what did you guys do to resolve the problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Call Telkom and log a fault.
If the wireless light is off, then generally your signal is low.
Telkom will need to come out and look at it, and possible adjust the panel (ODU).

...snip... Only power and Ethernet is on, I have tried to unplug, replug 100 times, still nothing. The Wifi led goes on for about 10sec and drops again.

The light goes on when cycling power as part of the boot-up. If it then goes out, there is a problem.

Log a fault with Telkom?

I know with my telkom wimax, that if i lose power to the unit it often takes over 30 mins to reconnect the wireless. I'm not sure why this is, must be something to do with syncing to the base station, but it always the same - try leaving it swtitched on for an hour and see if it reconnects.

The only other times my wireless light has gone off has been when there has been a problem at the base station - though this is very infrequent, only about 3 times in the last 3 years.

Thanks for the help so far guys,

so the WIRELESS LED is not just for showing that there is POWER to the CPE, but for connection issues as well?

The Ethernet light shows you the link status of the CPE device. So if thats on, it means the device itself is fine.
The Wireless light shows you the status of the air link.
