Telkom WIMAX, which uncapped ISP?

Hi,

Telkom phoned me yesterday saying that they are installing my WiMax today, whoo hooo!

I have a couple questions.

I'm getting a 512k wimax, but I want to find out a couple things.

for 384K uncapped ADSL account it is roughly R200, will this work on 512k Wimax? and at what speed will it work.

Are 384k ISP accounts throttled down to well 384k? or does my 512k wimax connection decide the speed?

Please suggest best uncapped ISP as well please.

yes, uncapped 384k accounts will work at 384k...

great news that you're getting your wimax installed, telkom phoned me up about 3 weeks ago saying they were going to install "immediately" then went on strike and i haven't heard from them since... will have to phone and hassle them again!

yes you can use uncapped 384k accounts on telkom wimax, the accounts are speed limited to 384k so even though your wimax connection is 512k you will only get maximum link speed of 384k.

Why not just get a 512 MWEB account for R299?
Works perfectly for our office.
