Hi guys

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but it does relate to Telkom internet.
I would like to know how quick i can cancel the telkom simple plan?

I originally asked them to install the simple plan, which they did really fast and i was impressed, until i get the bill 2 days ago. They decided to put me on the closer option2 and bill me accordingly for both installation as well as all the related dsl n data charges.

Anyways how easy is it to dispute these charges because im not payin R1k plus because they messed up.
I specifically stated i wanted the 'simple' package but knowing telkom they will want to credit the account and keep me going for a month or two without having to pay further charges. But i dont want ot give them a cent more than the R369 as advertised.

Any help wud be appreciated.
 
Contact their call centre and log a dispute.. 10219 I think. I know that they advertise Telkom SIMPLE as for new customers if you were an existing customers some of the benefits would not apply, like for example the installation fees. Oh and remeber your firt invoice they bill your twice for all services... month of purchase and month in advance (none proration).
 
why wud they bill me twice if i notified them i only wanted it for one month... thats not very good business practice especially if they advertising it on a month by month basis...
 
most companies works on that principle not only Telkom... for example DSTV, I know because my first bill was the same. Best is to always ask about your first invoice....
