Telkom Word play: DSL 192

My problem with ISDN is that the monthly price is not fixed.

I take great care to ensure that everything is well in order but almost every month something goes wrong. This results in my monthly bill being a bit of an unpleasant surprise.

This could include things like my ISP messing up my username, and I had to redial numerous times during the weekend. Each time the call connects and then disconnects after a few seconds. (Just long enough for Tellcrap to charge me).

Or someone checks e-mail duringh the day and leaves the connection running.

This can get especially nasty since my POP number is a long distance call.

All this can add up to a nasty surprise.

Yep that's exactly my problem with ISDN (call it dialup since it's still dialup despite being "ISDN"), the fixed price of a 24*7 connection has a lot going for it - especially when it costs less than ISDN with all the call charges.

Yup, but I'm gonna miss my ISDN though,

Nice pings and ultimate gaming.

But I reckon ADSL should be good enough for Everquest2

LOL :)
So one can get a cap 6X higher for the same price, only drawback is possible disconnects, slightly slower speed and of course having to watch soapies till 7..
