Hi
I am from Randburg Jhb and have been experiencing problems with Telkom for over 3 weeks and have been without an ADSL line and need it to work as I use my line to work Remotely. On the 3rd of January my ADSL line was no longer working and when i called Telkom to report it they said they could not pick up a adsl line and that it was a normal phone line. After a week no one could help me over the phone and just kept redirecting and transfering me from one department to another. I eventually got so fed up i went into a telkom shop at cresta where the guy sent an email and logged a call. On friday the 13th January I arrived home to find my internet working, I used it for an hour and it went off again. now I am stuck again with telkom and they cannot help me because my line is suspended. I spoke to accounts and they say everything is fine on their side and they cannot understand why it is suspsended. Accounts then keep putting me through to Technical support where they keep telling me my line still shows as suspended and now I have given up and no matter what I try im stuck in this loop with Telkom. Today I called them and explained again to the accounts department and they told me that the order was not updated on Technical support side so the call centre agent told me she has sent through the details and updated it and they will help me now. She then transfered me through to technical support and guess what ? they cannot help me because my line is suspended. I ask why and they cannot tell me but they say there is a order pending . I have ggiven up with telkom and now looking at an alternative. Can anyone point me in the right direction please I need internet connection like yesterday. I received several Sms messages that reads Dear customer your report reference 2337crz160112 was restored. If the problem still exists please contact us on bla bla bla. Update I forgot to mention that my line is syncing fine and the light is green and stable but no internet....
dam you hellkom
Regards
Sean
