So the first hop out is the router(not my router) that dose the port blocking?
 
I just phoned them now, like 5 mins ago, and telkom said they dident do port blocking. They said it is done on my own network's router or modem.
 
No, it's never Telkom they're little darlings! It's always your router/modem or your ISP. Remember that. Telkom are never wrong. Repeat. Telkom are never wrong. Repeat.

I am talking about my isp being Telkom :-)

So do they do port blocking then?

NO They do traffic prioritization. ie, certain requests have preference over others. IE, http has preference over bittorrent. They dont block whole "ports"

Ok let me rephraise, while they dont block ports they make it very difficult for some programs to work.

Bloking / Shaping as long as it effects what you want to do, i.e. very poor quality on voice, they might as well block it IMO!!
