Telkombuster extraordinaire [tectonic]
So you ordered a Telkom ADSL line seven months ago. You have called the call centre 57 times. You have diarised an installation date five times, but you've been stood up on each occasion. You have begged, cajoled, cried, threatened to stage a protest, and now don't know where to turn next. Who do you call?

And out of Telkom's sad service a niche of employement is found...

Commendable, but there is something horribly wrong with this picture isn't there.

The consumer pays inflated costs for sub standard service/s, over and above which they then still have to outsource an independent company to get the ball rolling, nee man, sies. :(

Dear Fifa,

telecoms in South Africa has deteriorated to the level where one is required to obtain the services of a highly paid consultant to persuade the telephony provider to deliver some kind of service.

Previously the service was of such nature that such drastic action was not required, but since the new CEO of Telkom took the hot seat, service levels dropped to a fight and screaming match to get the smallest bit of installation or maintenance work done.

It is obvious FIFA is going to make fools of themselves unless they move the 2010 venue post haste.

Regards

Kaspaas

Inside tracks are cool, but if you need them to get a service then somethings is obviously wrong. ICASA should once and for all split Telkom up into competing units.
