TelkomInternet Down???

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone else is having the trouble of being able to connect their internet but then not be able to get to any sites including some telkom sites but are able to get to some of the telkom sites such as www.telkomsa.net or telkom.co.za

Got exactly the same problem with WebAfrica in Cape Town. I tried calling them but they can't find the problem.
 
weird thing is that im on prepaid webafrica account SAIX and its fine
 
I work for an ISP - a number of our clients are having the same problem. Only get telkom page yet were browsing perfectly before. Have asked telkom if there is a problem and they say no. Any suggestions???
 
I couldn't connect since Friday evening. Shows connected in Router, but can't browse. Not even telkom's site!

Edit: With WebAfrica SAIX and IS accounts!

This is madness. I cant believe they are just like whatever everything looks fine on our side, theres nothing we can do... Can someone please get some real information as to why this is happening.. I HATE TELKOM!!!!

This is my fear... WebAfrica can't find the problem.. and I know Telkom is going to say "sorry no problems", then who the f()ck do you phone!
 
Anyone else having this problem or got any info on this or any help???
 
I phoned Telkom, the lady suggested to reset my router. I don't know what else to do.

Edit: I have tried everything else. If my reset doesn't work, I'll connect my pc direclty to router. If that doesn't work, I'll take the router to a friend.
 
Same problem here.

I am way over my bandwidth limit for telkom account. (who cares) but even after I switched to axxess adsl account things is still slow and some sites don't work.

(One specific site works fine until you try to send a form. Browsing around, fill in the DEFINITIVELY WORKING form to reply to a post and get timeout errors, Browsing again works fine until I tried again to post something)

Maybe some crazy telkom idiot testing better and more draconic capping hardware and software all at the same time? With them anything is possible.

(I wonder how many times the words "International down?" appear on this forum)

I can't access ANY website. Nadda. Nothing.
 
Not sure if this could be the cause since the link was between Durban & Rosebank.
