Telkom Internet doesn't need to run at a loss. All that needs to happen is that Telkom/SAIX gives TI vastly reduced bandwidth rates, allowing them to buy 4gb (or more) of bandwidth with the money they get from a 3gb subscriber.

Telkom is lying - simple as that. They are using their monopolistic position to capitalize market share. They don't care about the Competition Commission because they know the Competition Commission is as useless as all other independent 'spit' watchdog authorities in South Africa.
