Hi all,

Not sure if I missed a thread or something, so I hope I'm not repeating.

The last few months I started to see weird usage reports with Telkomsa ISP.

Was wondering about the data usage report. See below.

This was on usage as on 05-10-09

ADSL bandwidth usage report

Blended Usage
Uploaded - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
Downloaded - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
Combined Total - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
Percentage used - 0.00%
Status - Not Capped

Local Usage
Uploaded - 524MB or [0.51GB]
Downloaded - 7.68GB
Combined Total - 8.19GB
Local Bandwidth Allocated - 30.00GB

Then I get ones like these.. 28-12-08

ADSL usage report

Blended Usage
Total Blended Data Allocated (Default Package) - 5.00GB
Total TopUp Purchased - 0.00GB
Total Blended Data Exceeding Cap - 0Bytes or [0.00GB]
Total Blended Data (Exceeding Cap + TopUp Included) - 5.00GB
Uploaded - 129MB or [0.12GB]
Downloaded - 1.85GB
Combined Total Used - 1.98GB
Percentage Used - 39.72%
Remaining Blended Data - 3.01GB
Status - Not Capped

Local Usage
Total Local Data Allocated (Default Package) - 30.00GB
Uploaded - 600MB or [0.58GB]
Downloaded - 13.49GB
Combined Total Used - 14.08GB
Percentage Used - 46.93%
Remaining Local Data - 15.91GB

Status - You have not exceeded your package's default allocated local data.

The first one shows that I only used local cap to date, but the second one shows that I have used both local and international bandwidth with none of the two capped.

I'm using my Telkom account as local only traffic via my Mikrotik router board and I guess this reporting is just plain wrong, but wondered maybe if Telkomsa decided to split local / international traffic reporting.

Anyone else get this on their usage?

doubt they'll ever split, my guess is a local session being open since the previous month

+1
Your first one was on the 5th so chances that your local session was still open from the previous month is good. I've had that too until I reset my router and was back on blended usage.

Thnx makes sense. Most of the times the connection wasn't reset on the router.
