Hi Telkom Za

I am hoping you can help me, below is an outline of my problem:

Since Feb my ADSL as become extremely slow,congested and just of a very poor quality. I have completed the following in my quest for a faster connection:

1) Many many Tracerts to mybroadband.co.za with horrible outcomes
2) Have 3 ISP accounts. I have tried all of them at different times, some better than others but nothing helps.
3) Called Telkom twice to have the line port reset.
4) I know which exchange I am on. Will send all details you need via PM.
5) Finally have a friend down the road who also has the same ISP and a new ADSL account who I chatted to when my line was un-usable who's was fine.

I am on a 4mb capped account with loads of data. Last night I could not stream netflix at all, it buffered for a few minutes every 2 mins and after 1hr of attempting I gave up. Yet my line is perfect in the period 00;00 until 06:00. I can see this as I schedule downloads for updates etc.

I am now certain its a box near my flat and not a ISP issue. Can this be fixed?
 
Sounds like your telkom exchange is congested.

Not much you can do but hope that telkom will upgrade the capacity.
 
I am not sure as I know of 3 people on the same exchange but in a 5km radius and only I have an issue.
