Telnet to a DuoPlus 300 router

Hi all,

Has anybody had any success telneting to a telkom issue DuoPlus 300 router?
I can connect and get to the prompt:
"BusyBox on localhost login:"
But my router username and password (those that I use to connect to the modem via the web interface) are rejected.
I've tried most of the default userasswords i can think of veg admin:admin admin:administrator root:root root:admin root:[blank] etc
none work.

I need some wisdom from the wise please?
