a Noob question here, my comper seems be makeing extra noise over the past to days, all temps seem to be fine, just not sure about processor temp. computers been on for 4 hours, or do computers become noisy randomly

Hardware Monitoring : Winbond W83627DHG
Voltage CPU : 1.23 V
+3.3V Voltage : 3.26 V
+5V Voltage : 4.73 V
+12V Voltage : 12.14 V
Processor Fan : 2360 rpm
Processor Temperature : 13 °C
Mainboard Temperature : 8 °C
Power/Aux Temperature : 2.5 °C
:
Processor : Thermal Diode
Intel Celeron Dual-Core (Core 1) : 37 °C
Intel Celeron Dual-Core (Core 2) : 35 °C

Hard Disk Monitoring : S.M.A.R.T
Hard Disk ST3500418AS (Assembly) : 32 °C
Hard Disk ST3500418AS (Airflow) : 32 °C

Thanks

They do make random noises from the CPU fan when it gets used, temperature ranges look fine though 37 & 35 on your cpu seems a little odd. Makes sure your CPU Heatsink Fan is mounted properly.

Those temps look fine. The cores on my C2D often vary by 2-3 degrees. The noise may be a fan slowly dying and the bearings giving out. It could also be a result of dust clogging things. If you have a discrete graphics card, it may be running on auto fan speed, and may have increased the speed in response to increased heat from dust or something else.

What kind of noise is it? A kind of grinding noise or whining noise, or just loud fan whiring?

Just a louder fan noise, i left it on last night and nothing strange happened, if it gets worse its time to worry i guess, ill check it over the next 2 days. thanks guys

I'd say just clean the dust away from around your fans an you should be ok

That's one part. The other is to check the fan settings in your BIOS. Is it set to "Auto"? If so, it will only increase revs once your temperature increases, else it idles away in the background.

It doesn't hurt to take off the side cover every now and again and clean out the dust/fur balls :P

You wouldn't believe some of the machines I've seen, I swear you could have stuffed a small pillow with the fluff I pulled out of one the other day. And the fans should be almost silent once properly cleaned.

ok so i cleaned the fan, sort off, the noise is down but temps are identical, shouldent be a problem?

Hey thanks to everyone who helped, i realy must dust my house urgently. this computers only been here for 4 months.

Dust can be a mother of a problem. I have been called out to places where the only thing I had to do to make the pc good as new was blow it out with a pressure air hose at the nearest garage. Be sure to keep the fans still when doing so though. A rush of air from a pressure hose can seriously burn their tiny bearings if allowed to spin freely.
