Hi guys
The wife and I are moving to a new house over the weekend.
Really a lovely big old house.
Only problem is the house only has 1 garage and we have 2 cars. Cars being expensive things I am not keen on parking one of them outside with no protection against the elements.
As we will be renting and probably only living in the house for a year or two I don't want to make the expense of building a permanent carport. Doubt that the landlord would be willing to build one for us as well.
So I have been googling ideas to protect the car standing outside and I came across this http://www.sheltersofamerica.com/viewimages.php?productid=744
Seems like a very good idea as when we move out I can just take down the carport and move on.
Any idea where in Port Elizabeth or in South Africa one would be able to find something similar?

Any help advice would be much appreciated.

You can buy them at makro, about R1800, but down to R1500 on special every few months. They are great but only last a year or 2 realistically, much less if the wind gets hold of them. Kept my bus dry and out of the sun whilst I had no place to store it.

Thank Brianj74,
Not seeing it on their website but might try and pop in at Makro over lunch this week or next week sometime.
I live in Despatch outside of PE so don't quite get the bad PE wind, but it can blow every now and then. Will see how strong it looks and will of course need to anchor it properly.

Mmm actually it was game not makro. Maybe give them a call

No carports have walls. But it keeps the birdcrap off though

I know I am bringing up an old thread but I need something to protect my car was thinking a 3mx3m gazebo. Any ideas?

Heavy rain or hail will hammer a gazebo in a matter of minutes. You could dry a shadeport if the weather is kind at your side or go full out for a carport.

You'll probably hate it after a few windy days and fetching it from down the street.
