Temporary Vehicle Insurance

I need insurance on car but for only two weeks.

The traditional places like Outsurance, Miway, Dial Direct, Santam etc. want minimum 3 and 6 months contracts. anyone know of a company that can do this.

Technically I own the car, its registered in my name, but its actually my mother in laws' car, which I want to borrow - and she doesn't have insurance on it - she doesn't really drive any more. So I do have an insurable interest in the car.

Is such insurance possible?

Any info greatly appreciated.

Hey there, My dad used Outsurance to insure an adventure bike that he went to the Roof of Africa with. It was very pricey(About R1000 for the weekend) but he ended up dropping it and claiming though(about 10k with R1000 excess) So it should be possible

My other vehicles are with outsurance, but they wont do this for less than 3 months. I suppose I could cancel after a month, but I would prefer to get a specific option for this, and they wont cover it as a rental either. thanks.

try a broker... they should be a lot more accommodating I use Risk Benefit Solutions (www.rbs.co.za). Good luck.

Find a broker who can take over your insurance portfolio and negotiate such a deal for your need.
