So, I live in an estate near a big empty field that's yet to be developed on (so quite wild). Every summer (especially in the beginning) when it gets really hot, I get these huge mofo cockroaches coming into my house through the open windows on the 2nd floor, presumably from the field. There's streetlights outside of the windows which doesn't help either. The problem is that I'm renting and also can't have a permanent screen due to body corp rules. So I'm looking for a solution that can easily be setup and pulled down every evening when I open the windows to try cool down the place. I see there's screens with magnets, but everyone complains they aren't strong enough. I also tried cutting up some mosquito netting and taping it against the window, but this doesn't last very long due to having to keep removing it. Any suggestions on what could work?

Use magnetic strips to hold it to the window frame?
My mom had these made for some of her windows. They can be put in and easily taken out whenever she needs to.

I've seen magnetic mosquito screens sold at various hardware stores. Google might help.

Buy netting from fabric store.
Velcro around the edges.
Velcro on your window frame.
Result?

That could work. What would you suggest for sticking the velcro to the frame? I'm worried double sided taping might be difficult to get off (and could mark the frame) when removing it (it's metal but with a unique paint colour). I guess I just need to find a version that isn't too sticky but has enough purchase to hold it up, especially when it's windy.

So I have tried the magnetic strips like this: https://www.takealot.com/sunsan-anti-fly-mosquito-window-mesh-screen/PLID41525220

Tried two different versions, but they were utterly useless - it just falls off eventually. Also worth mentioning that I'm in Northern Suburbs and in a valley, so there's some crazy strong winds flowing across the area which just knocks these things out.

Air con, then you dont need to open the doors/windows.

That's the dream, but I'm renting and my lease expires in March. I have a "portable" aircon, but you have to stick the exhaust out the window, and honestly it just isn't very good.

I bought these strips at Builders, supposedly easy to remove. I haven't tried them yet so don't know if they work:
