Hi peeps, I'm looking for a new bed and wondering if a Tempur is worth the price tag? I'm either going Serta Perfect Night Pocket coil with memory foam box top, or the Tempur.
Thanks for the input

did the exercise..
not worth it IMO
overpriced piece of foam.
people complained they feel hot in summer

ended up with a Simmons

Already have a Simmons beautyrest world-class superior firm. It's 5 years old and top condition, but I prefer the plush pillow top models now. The Simmons memory foam mattress is too soft, and the others are either too firm (which I already have) or entry level.

Must say, I am leaning more towards the Serta, just wondering how long it will last compared to my current Simmons

yeah one should always feel cold in the summer :D

Forget coils and sprigs and all that crap.

Get a Cloud 9 with a Latex top. The hardest one you can find.

Thank me after a week.

Tempur isn't worth the money. My wife bought them for our holiday house and I hate the Tempur mattress

and +1 for the hardest latex top cloud nine

The only amazing thing about mattresses, is there is never a conclusive 'best bed brand'

Has anyone got the tempur bed that has a motorised recline function. They are very expensive.
I was wondering how confortable they are ?

Edit :
Best bed I bought was a sealy crown jewel in 1999. Paid 10k.
In 2005, bought a king size serta. I was impressed with it.

16 years later and the sealy is the best bed to get a good rest in.

I'm thinking of getting a Tempur (or other memory foam) mattress.
I have lower back issues and need a very specific firmness to the bed - but often I won't know that the bed isn't right until the next morning. A 5 minute lie down in the store won't tell me anything. How do you make a R10k-R30k investment decision without trying it properly?

So a Tempur with an adjustable bed frame starts at R55k.
They're having a 50% off sale on floor stock - but the warranty then reduces from 15 years to 5 years.

This +10000

I was skeptical at first but now I'm convinced. Best night sleep I've ever had.
