Johannesburg - Ten men were arrested on Monday after they allegedly beat a man to death for stealing a radio and solar appliances at Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape police said.
Spokesperson Mduduzi Godlwana said a 24-year-old man broke into a house at Misinizweni village and stole the goods on Sunday at about 21:00.
"A group of 10, aged between 23 and 28, searched the entire village and found him. He was beaten up with a sjambok until he died on the scene."
Godlwana said the men were all arrested and charged with murder.
He said they will appear at the Lusikisiki Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
