That Rik de Voest is SA's best player I find hard to believe. He doesn't have a topspin backhand, served too many double faults and made 145 unforced errors. Tennis in SA is in a very poor state.

its so sad what happened to SA's tennis, we won the bloody Davis cup in 1974... look where we are at the moment 
I don't find any of our current players comparable to Johan Kriek , Kevin Curren or Hewit and Mcmillian.

Kevin Anderson is our no 1 but he was unavailable for some or other reason

Kevin Anderson once again refuses to play for SA, he pulls out with an "injury" but manages to play in a money grabbing tournament the same weekend 
I don't know why they keep asking him to play
