So, my wife is itching to change her set of wheels. We test drove Terios (R220k) yesterday... She likes the car. I was willing to "settle", it's hers... What matters most is she must like it. I saw an ad. today for Caliber (R234k). What do you guys think?

Terios. I think it's a solid Japanese car and I have heard good things about Daihatsu.

Had 2 Calibers (2.0 petrol and 2.0 Diesel) as loan cars, its as if the interior is made from recycled spacecases. Stay away...

If she can't stretch the budget to R252,995.00 (Kia Sportage) then go for the Terios.

Every time I see a new Sportage on the road I'm more impressed - it's such a nice looking vehicle. I think the Hyundai IX35 is over-styled a bit, but the Kia is damn sexy.

I should've added earlier that you should seriously consider going nearly new rather than out the box. It's quite amazing how much more car your money will buy if you look at something 6 to 12 months old.
