Hi,

What terminal programs are available for making console connections (ssh) to Linux/FreeBSD boxes.

I am aware of PUTTY, but am not entirely happy with it, any other suggestions please.

Thanks,

Whats wrong with PUTTY? Once your connected to the host PC then the host PC terminal determines the functionality and not PUTTY.

Besides not being able to change the font as it appears in the PUTTY window, and a few other minor niggles, not much ... , would prefer the font to be heavier, than it displays on WIN7, the way it displays on the "real" thing is much preferred ... , and on some occasions, there are hassles with how some ncurses based programs are displayed ...

If I can do away with booting a mini-linux distro on a USB stick, it would make life better working from my first ever laptop which runs WIN 7 Home Premium ...

The problem with Putty and Windows is not Putty.
