a bit of background:
My 24 month contract expires 28 Feb 2010 and dont want it re-newed.
Here is the e-mails I send to Iburst and their replies

No you do not need to fill in any form all you need to do is send an email to [email protected] and inform them that you would like to cancel the contract when it expires.

Ok I then hereby give official notice that I want my subscription to be cancelled when my contract expires on 28 Feb 2010.Please can you do all the necessary from your side,is there any forms that I must fill in?if so please send them to me.

Also confirm that the last deduction from my bank account will be on 1 Feb 2010 [R632.00] and when that amount is deducted I own Iburst nothing and the service will be stopped on 1 March 2010.

If you have to forward this to someone else for attention,please inform me who you send it to and also CC me when you do.

You need to inform us that you would like to have your contract cancel and give us a calendar month to cancel it for you( since you want it canceled you need to send through the request before the 29th of January 2010, then the contract will be cancelled on the 29th February 2010.


Confirm that I am not in arrears

The outstanding balance on your account to date is R632.00.

Now as usual I get no response from Iburst and phoned them today and got this e-mail from them

To cancel your package you, the customer will have to serve a calendars month notice, that can only be done by calling on the 1st of feb to initiate this termination, after doing so your package will be terminated on the 28 of feb.

Well I was a happy chappy till I got home and wanted to go on the net...Then get the error"Cant connect as the password/username is invalid on this domain"

Well I get on the phone and after 10 minutes get through to Nishaan and he tells me that the account was"terminated" due to past payment problems.Ticket no 088279 also asked him to e-mail me this info which he did not.

Can the Iburst rep please go into this matter.
 
Maybe you should keep it terminated and just pay off the outstanding amount as referred to in the email?

Otherwise the amount will change and keep you shackled for longer.
 
I hope the conversations didn't occur in the same order as you posted the e-mails:rolleyes: I wish my contract was expiring soon.

My apologies i just checked your account and i see it has been terminated early,please give me some time to sort this out for you. I'll contact you shortly.
 
Got a e-mail from Gcebile at 16H30,my account has been re-instated but about 10G bandwidth is missing.
