Terrible interntional connectivity

Not that I know of at least, this was the only response I got.

I feel you, I'm missing a Mimiron hardmode tonight and never got my Heart of Iron last night because of this! :(

It seems like the network stalls, only upon a retry does the packet go through. All over the show. Timing just taken ....

Axxess semi-shaped on SAIX, via 512 ADSL.

OT, but not really ..
Had a sudden dead line at a client, business ADSL uncapped. Logged a call. "It will cost you R7XX rands if we do not find a fault. We will come out in 34 business hours." :erm: Long and short of it all, Telkom put in a new exchange and forgot to swing over the line!

"Telkom, wanna log a call. My fault IOU R7XX.00. Your fault, UOI R7XX.00 ?"

Telkom, rated the biggest risk to business in South Africa in 2001 (i think it was 2001). We are now seeing the results ...

Doesn't look too bad, except that I can't even open the site.

Nothing has changed, intl browsing very slow on my SAIX account. Very frustrating. Whenever I enter a website address there's 5 seconds where absolutely nothing happens, only thereafter does it resolve the address and start loading it, very slowly too. Changing DNS servers make no difference.

Tomorrow it will be exactly a week that I've had this problem. WA & Telkom says there's nothing wrong on the network. Yeah right.

Hmmm, international on IS also just died completely. I can't open any international sites.

Anyone else got normal pings on overseas gaming atm, or is it just the calm before another storm?

Mine is under 600 for last 30 mins. Could just be lucky for now :(

Well, at the moment I'm getting a 300KB/sec on international which is a helluva lot better than the 10KB I was getting earlier in the week. Has Myadsl.co.za not picked up on this erratic behavior ?

I'm having major problems on IS.

Every few minutes or so I can't open any sites and when it does work international browsing speed is ridiculous.

i am on axxess semi which i think is thru IS my websites open fine, its Wow that i am getting kuk pings local games are fine anyone know whats up?

I got this from Imaginet

"IS has had service degradation for the last 2 nights running, which is very likely to be the cause, if you are still experiencing high latency tonight let us know and we can try swapping your account over to a SAIX based one to see if you can get better response times, this will just involve a username change on your end."

But I gotta admit my latency has been fine for the last few hours.
