Tesla Model 3 international launch delayed

While Tesla has delivered Model 3 vehicles to customers outside the United States, the company will not be ready for its international rollout later this year.

Elon Musk announced on Twitter that left-hand drive Model 3 vehicles are now expected to ship to Europe and Asia in the first half of 2019.

Not a good example given. Gen 1 Leaf was extremely unattractive & priced rather high. Gen 2 is lightyears ahead.

Rather compared with sales of the i3 locally.

You see the one odd here & there.

Ou Musky boy said many months ago the M3 is coming to "SA".

Unless SA means Saudi Arabia then he is referring to the country we live in.

Initial projected time frame was we get it pretty much on par when Aussie-land gets it.

Additionally it's never meant to be anything close to a high volume vehicle.

A niche vehicle for those with big pockets & green tendencies.
 
I'll tell you this much. Driving around in a Golf GTE currently, I would jump at the opportunity to own a Tesla. Especially the Model S 90D. Bloody attractive in the flesh and on paper. Hybrid has grown on me, but electric seems the logical next awesome step.

The Department of Environmental Affairs in Pretoria has a fairly big fleet of Leaf (a few dozens I'd say).

I see them in the parking every time I have a meeting there.
