Tesla has unveiled its Model Y, a new compact SUV that will be released in 2020.

The Model Y can accelerate from 0-96km/h in 3.5 seconds, and has a range of 480km.

It's an electric car, why add unnecessary drag and reduce mileage just so it can look pretty.

Because its pretty? Think it would be good if they make it a option when purchasing, also doesn't have to be an actual grille, one of these kind of fake ones that don't affect aero too much.

Besides, it looks more futuristic without one.

I guess the lack of a "grill" is down to it not having any function apart from aesthetics (in cars with combustion engines they're necessary for cooling, after all). Maybe the whole idea is to make look even less like a regular car?

I do kind of agree the grille could look much better on all of them.

Not like it does now where it looks like a legit grill was cemented over and left it’s outlines.

However I suspect this is design regulation and beyond their control maybe.

I love Tesla's but yeah this design seems pretty bland already and it's not gonna age well,for that price I'd expect something that looks better than that.
