First racing game I have ever bought and after 2 hours play it is huge fun. Not as many ppl online as I would like and they all have super duper cars over my puny TT.
 
I need to jump in here quick. Got my copy on Monday...cannot stop playing. Game runs awesome on my pc. I'm also using the Logitech G25 as my controller. Using the stick shift is really awesome. No lag whatsoever when playing online. I'm 4mbit using a saix account to play online. The game is awesome...a hell of a lot better than the Xbox 360 version. I really don't know how some of you can say this game is boring....aah wait it is probably because you are playing it with the keyboard right? Any racing game played with the keyboard, will be boring. Even playing it with the gamepad for that matter will also make it boring. Now playing it with the G25...now that changes everything. :D

My specs:

Geforce 7900GT 256mb
AMD X2 4200+
2 X 1gb DDR400

If any of you are playing online...pm your online nick and maybe we can start a South African club oline.

Take2 = Montague Gardens - you have to order and collect though.

You should be able to walk into computer Mania or BT games and pick up a copy.

I gotta agree with you :p 5L :p.

I gave the game another chance on Sunday ... man .. what a hoot.
I love that game now ... it's sooooooooooo incredible.

1 - Police: If you want to have a good car-chase, go in normal drive mode, smack 5 cars in a row on the ass really hard, but so that you don't spin out or something, smack them parrallel. Once you've got 2 of them police shields up, they come after you, and if you then, while being chased hit a couple of more cars, they realllly pursue you and you'd better have your wits about you. I got nailed for 80 000 bucks cos i did not manage to get away once.

2 - Cliff hanging racing : On the north west side of the map is a track that runs along windy roads with plenty of cliff-hanging going on. Damn that is adrenalyn inducing.

General ... money: to make money fast ... do little tasks until you see a car picture. That's the car delivery icon, you'll get about 80 000 for delivering a car. If you deliver the car without a scratch on it, you'll get 50% as a bonus. so .. for 80 000, you'll get 120 000 as the total prize. I recommend restarting if you scratch it. To restart, just drive off the road till the "driving" meter runs to zero, and choose retry.

I raised 730 000 in 4 hours ... so it's not that difficult. Bought one of them fsking fast things ... dman man they're hard to keep on the road and dodging traffic at 300km/h is a laugh.

Multiplayer : I have no idea what to do or how multiplayer works.

In short ... so far it's a berry enjoyable game .. took a while to get me going, and also took 3 - 4 hours for me to get the game to work with the MS sidewinder [you have to remove all force-feedback settings from the registry].

I play on 1024*768 low detail for maximum frame rate, and still get a spike when I pass smokestacks in the road. Machine = P4 3GHz Dual Threaded, 1GB DDR2 RAM, NVidea 6800GT.

Mh... i think i'm gonna buy't. There's 1 boring thing about NFSMW, getting the cops to chase you so that you finish th milestone quicker... I hate driving around waiting for cops to appear so that i meet the milestone requirements... am i talking crap here!?:confused:
 
How the heck do you find other people online except via the screen that shows all the online players on the map in red cars? I just order my Logitech Formula Force GP steering wheel...there is no way I can play this puppy using a gamepad and the keyboard is not really an option.
