far away land, but it's nice here
I'm going to view a black testarossa this weekend, but never haven seen one before I'm not sure what to look out for.

Has anybody driven one...opinions? (no, i'm not talking about on outrun or outrun2, in real life)

Oh man, that is an incredible vehicle! I've never driven one myself but a close friend had one a few years back and it was incredible.

Ah... maybe in a couple years when I finally decide where I want to live! :o

Are you planning on buying the thing to drive more than twice a year?

no, as an investment...i already have a car that i drive to work and back in.
more like park it in a garage and use it once or twice a year. sell it in 3 years time.
only reason i have this idea is because it is being offered at around 60% of the price they normally go for, as the owner is in money trouble

Ahhh right...

Well as an investment that you look after, I doubt you could go wrong, though think about keeping it for more than 3 years I'd reckon.

As for driving it, apparently they're pigs to drive (like most of the older supercars) but still bucket loads of fun when you do take them out to drive.

I hope you have a wide garage to put it in.

Wouldn't be my choice of classic ferraris but like you said, its a good deal.

Just a note, if you DO decide to take it and right after you took me for a spin in it... you might want to run it a bit more often. It's not healthy for a car to just stand, especially the engine, and I have a sneaky suspicion that engine bearings and seals for Ferrari's aren't cheap ;)

I could tell you so much about a Testarossa, but chances are you will still see a different one, theres quite a few, some even have 6 exhausts... black lights at the back....

Just for interest sakes Testarossa means red head. If you look at the tappet covers on all Testarossa's they all red.

Well, that's what I learned from a Discovery program about Ferarri.

35000 pounds?!?!?! for that?.. thats a bargain of note if you ask me.

Eish.. serious?.. I'd buy that in a second if it was here and not in the UK.

Holy crap! Bargain! I wonder if they'd take a kidney as payment or maybe an Uno as a trade in? An Uno with now a VERY nasty scratch on the passenger side. Looks like someone keyed it... now I'm sad :(

Wow, man if I was you I'd take it. I've always wanted a ferrari but I move around too much and I'm STILL trying to finish off restoring my Porsche 356 Speedster. I reckon by 2010 I'll be leaving SA for a couple of years and maybe I'll consider one then. That looks like a stunning car. What about the car is putting you off? (if you don't mind me asking.)
