Bough a prepaid sim card and loaded 100m data and using a Vodacom e220 modem,Will test at home tonight.
If it works,I will get the R200-00 10Gig contract.
Tested the connection at work and it seems to be quick.

Make sure the SIM is provisioned to work on the 8ta network to test properly. By default it roams on MTN, so the true coverage is not seen. Send a mail to [email protected] asking to be provisioned on the 8ta network. Once done, roaming with MTN still works, but it tries to find 8ta first.

The R200 special only works on the 8ta network.

I tried the same thing and found that I got 1MB at a -113db signal. I was surprised it even worked as -113db is at the very bottom end of the measured scale. To be fair, my house is not in the shown coverage area. The latency is much higher than CellC, both via MTN and 8ta networks and the speed is slower, which I found when testing in a good 8ta coverage area.

Okay,so in short if I get the 10gig contract it needs to be provisioned for the 8ta network.
If it shows mtn roming this will not work, correct
