I am very interested in changing from Vodacom to MTN where I live given the excellent new data packages. I live however in a fringe area where I sometimes on my SonyEricsson P990i see the message Yello Broadband. I am currently using an Option card inside a Linksys router to connect to Vodacom and I manage HSPDA.

I would like to know whether it will be possible to test the E220 USB modem as well as the Option Router before bying to determine whether I will be able to connect to Edge where I live in Tarlton. If I can connect I will consider to take out a new 1GB contract with MTN as soon as possible.

Can you also indicate whether the Option Router is already enabled for 3.6Mb HSPDA speed.

Regards

@FT

In terms of getting a E220 and Option Router before buying is gonna be a bit of a problem but I’ll email my channel manager and see if he can arrange something in terms of seeing how it’s going to work but I can’t promise anything

The Globesurfer isn’t 3.6 enabled unfortunately

Thanks

It might help to indicate that I work for your biggest corporate client and I think we currently have more than 10 000 lines with MTN. If need be, I am sure that I can talk to the customer manager for our account if you can advise who it is. If this will help I will send a personal mail to you with my contact detail and the company I work for.
