Hi guys

I just went live with a wordpress website of mine on Tuesday. It is a news/forum website dedicated to movies and series. It's just in the beginning stage and lots of things still need work. I'm hoping some of you can give it a spin and let me know what needs sorting. My aim is to have a dedicated group of users in the next year or two but for now I just want to make sure it's actually stable and function-able.

Hi Raithlin

This is the first website I have created so I guess any input would be great. I currently have a problem with the registration email being marked as spam by gmail. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

I don't expect anyone to register though, that is not neccessary. Just want to make sure everything is golden and running smoothly.

The reason your mail is probably marked is spam is because of the mail server sending it (and I assume it's not a proper mail server, but sent through PHP itself). You would benefit from it being through a proper mail server (maybe even use gmail as the mail server) to send those so it doesn't come out as spam.

Website looks fine to me, except I'd go for a solid color background instead of the picture one, makes it a bit hard to see the content (for me at least, it blends in too much and doesn't focus the eye)

Site is okay , I would make the width slightly bigger but thats just personal preference. I don't like wasted spaces. The search this website is for me also so old. I would put in a ad or something similar. Then lastly you have no categories , would be a nice add for filtering info and search. You could for example tag your trailers into new releases , action , drama etc.

I like the change to the background image

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. Google sent me an email telling me to add more content as the blog only went up on Tuesday before they activate my AdSense account, So I'll give it a while before I apply again. I downloaded the Relevanssi search plugin last night, just gotta activate it and play with it. Will look into categorizing the trailers, however they're linked to a youtube user account and just embedded on my site. Will have to play around with the plugin's .php and see if I can do something like that.
