as I'm about to get my feet wet in the Pretoria iBurst pool. I'll wade thru the forums on the technical side, but do have a few questions regarding resellers.
Since I'm currently with Nowire (month to month), I'd prefer to stay there....easier from an account point of view. They can just terminate Sentech, activate iBurst, decrease my monthly debit order, Bob's your uncle :) However, from a signal test and installation (possible external antenna, etc) point of view, there are quite possibly better skilled resellers to use.

So, are all resellers dealing directly with iBurst or do some of them act as agents for Nowire ?
If the first, has anyone made use of Nowire as a one-stop shop, from signal test onwards ?

If the second, feel free to PM me :) If your signal test isn't free, please provide the cost in the PM

During the signal test, I'd like to get an indication of best possible speed/signal strength, not just whether I can connect, so there might be some effort needed and a decent antenna in the boot, that can be pointed manually at the offending tower, wouldn't hurt :)

I don't think that there are actually alot of resellers lurking here on the forum.
Where in Pta are you?

There are a few, but I am also interested in hearing from anyone that went the Nowire route, since I don't trust WBS's billing procedures. As per my sig ;) I'm in Menlo Park, just to the west of the koppie with all the towers on (Sentech, etc) with (I think) LOS to the CSIR tower

:D yes. I don't think I'm going to test the antenna though, if you want to pick it up tomorrow am, I'll tape the pen to it. Otherwise just tell me when....
Btw, Iburst speedtests between 550 and 850, more often than not above 700. Could even update (XP) on both the kids PCs at the same time. Not bad for an extreme light green area :D

I am really glad that you find your service lekka. Enjoy your time as part of the family.
