Tethering on 4.2.1?

Good day. Just upgraded to 4.2.1 on my 3G and I noticed that Internet tethering is gone!?

Previously I updated the carrier settings to activate it, but now whenever I open iTunes it never asks me if I want to update them.

Any idea what I can do?

mmm. There's a 6 page discussion on the issue here at the Apple Forums. Look and see if you can find anything useful. I found this link which may fix your problem. (no jailbreak or anything)

try reset the network settings, that has fixed problems for some of my friends.

settings->general->reset->reset network settings

Try assigning your APN to "Internet" and see if that works. You will need to restart your phone for it to take effect
