What on earth is that? Never seen one before.View attachment 1390144
havent used it in many years .if you chased conduit in a house with that finish you need it to fix up when finished plastering
tyrolean machine it has metal fingers inside that when spun flicks the material out .can get some nice finishes with themWhat on earth is that? Never seen one before.
Thanks B-1. You could be onto something here. I thought was some kind of cheap thing like hessian sack but the finish is too rough I didn't think they used crumpled up cement bags. If I look at the uneven texture it could very well be what was used or a roof paint brush. Are you in the building industry? That could be "sak smeer". They crumple up old cement bags to create the finish.
Thanks. I have been able to achieve something similar with a block brush. The first picture I posted was repaired by me previously. The problem is when fixing a section it does not match the rest of the wall. I will get another photo of the rest of the wall to show the exact texture I'm trying to achieve. I understand what you mean about the mess of plaster. I don't mind the mess if I can get a finish to match the rest of the house and I believe the cement mix would be much stronger than textured paint.Just remembered.
Did this myself in my garden with a block brush and cement, plaster sand and water. But the mixture has lot of water and makes a big mess when applying. Still think you should be able to create the same with block brush and textured primer, with less hassle and mess.
