TFSA 2018/2019

I like the Allan Gray fund.

With Coronation you can't use the Top 20 fund. You can use the Industrial fund but I'm not 100% if it will be better than the Allan Gray fund.

My TFSA have grown 16% and is now worth R108k. Is it an acceptable growth or should I consider transferring into another fund?

Well, considering that the SA markets were flat for all of 2015, 2016 and most of 2017 and recently went down again this year, 16% isn't horrible. Where is the money currently invested?

At Investec.

What should the balance, of a well-managed TFSA, be after three years?

R100k (R93k deposit and about 8% growth... roughly)

But, things have gone to scht the last few weeks and I'm actually in the red at the moment :(

Yours is good. But if you could predict the future you could have had a million if not more...
With contribution limited to R33000 a year it will be very difficult. :p

A seven thousand rand increase seems very low.

With FNB you could from the beginning invest in shares and you could pick which ones. So if you picked correctly you can grow your money very fast but pick poorly and you loose it even faster...

I don't it is wise to gamble with TFSA's because you cannot replace any loses on them.
