Turns out my account had accidentally been lost and my UTD-ID had been re-assigned to another UTD by mistake.

I phoned the helpdesk, got an answer in 3 rings. Spoke to the guy manning the call center who was exceptionally helpful, knew exactly what to check.
He then put we through to Kwena Headbush (This guy deserves a raise Sean :D ), he sorted it out within 45mins.

And I'm back online! With a couple extra gigs for my troubles.

Thank you iBurst for the excellent service :)

Before anyone argues "It shouldn't of happened in the first place"...... people make mistakes.

Mind sharing your additional gigs with a strugling south african?

Let's hold thumbs and see if Crash has got a heart of gold....

Well If I could give away gigs of free unshaped bandwidth, I'd be Head of the Department Of Communication :D
Soz Ivy

hell if I had the ability to give away free 8mb dsl connection I'm sure I would be the next major of JHB :)

Anyhow great to finally hear that Iburst is actually doing something with their service...

I had a problem the other day - it seemd that the Hyde Park tower went down I phoned in and queried about the problem and the call center guy promised me he'll find out what happened and get back to me... I was actually shocked to get a call back after 45minutes - 1hour telling me the tower did in fact go offline and it has been rebooted...

Maybe there is some action within those walls of iburst...

Well, I'm going to say it. It shouldn't have happened in the first place. I do agree that people make mistakes. But I can put money down that you weren't the first or the only one to have this happen to you.

If 1 mistake was made then fine, I can live with that and tell people "You know what, iBurst is okay, I'd recommend their service if you're too light in the pants for real broadband"

But they make these mistakes all the time. I could really go on about what type of mistakes, how they lie to the public and you know what? I'm not going to waste my time because I know you have had a good experience and see no need to distrust them.

All I'm saying is... keer vir jou wickets...

You've already wasted your time. And mine. Your typical uniformed, sour-grapes drivel. Yes, you had bad expereinces with Iburst in the distant past, we all had . But this is the present. Grow up and get over it!

hmm. so your a vehement supporter of Telkoms REAL BEST broadband, none of this Iburst rubbish eh..

I' love to see how many mistakes Telkom make, and if they EVER set things right and give good servcie when you phone them. Iburst really have improved man.. anyway, didnt the whole of KZN go down the other day for Telkom?

Well, im glad your big enough for Telkoms ADSL.

oh, lol and lying to the public yet you shaft over money to Telkom every month for your internet?

The mistake was caused by one of iBurst's resellers, not the WBS / iBurstGroup....

Just to clear that up
